Gary Greenberg, Chief Operating Officer

Gary Greenberg is Levey Group’s Chief Operating Officer overseeing the company’s developments, investments and capital markets. Gary has handled all aspects of real estate investments, capital markets and development across retail, industrial and land, closing over $5.5 billion of transactions.

Gary is a graduate of the University of Texas McCombs School of Business where he obtained a BBA majoring in Business Honors and Accounting. He obtained his MBA from the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Business.

Prior to Levey Group, he served as President of CHJ Investments focusing on investments, strategic consulting and capital raising. Gary was a Senior Vice President at Weingarten Realty focusing on capital raising and investments on a national basis. He joined Weingarten from Citicorp’s New York office where his responsibilities included lending, restructuring and securitization. Prior to graduate school he worked as a consultant in Kenneth Leventhal & Company's Houston office on market analysis, property valuations and troubled debt restructurings.

Gary is an active member of the University of Texas Real Estate Center’s Advisory Council and chairs the Canfield Business Honors Program Parents’ Council. He is a past member of AFIRE, PREA and ULI’s Houston Advisory Board.

Gary is actively involved in the Houston community, previously serving as President of The Shlenker School Board of Trustees and is a current Trustee and the Assistant Treasurer of Seven Acres Jewish Senior Care Services. He and his wife Cindy have two children and two dogs. Their daughter earned undergraduate and master’s degrees at UT and currently works in Austin. Their son is currently enrolled in the Canfield Business Honors Program at UT’s McCombs School of Business. Gary and Cindy love visiting them in Austin.
